What We Publish
OJLP welcomes original, previously unpublished work across all areas of law and public policy.

| Articles | 3,000–10,000 | Original contributions making a substantial, novel argument in law or public policy. |
| Essays | 2,500–8,000 | Focused analytical pieces engaging with a timely legal question or developing doctrine. |
| Notes | 10,000–20,000 | Student-authored works offering rigorous original analysis of legislation, cases, or scholarship. |
| Comments | 3,000–8,000 | Responses to published scholarship or close analysis of a significant recent decision. |
| Book Reviews | 3,000–6,000 | Critical assessments of recently published books of legal or policy significance. |

Formatting Requirements
- Format
- .docx (Microsoft Word)

- OSCOLA, APA, or equivalent international standard
- Spacing
- Double-spaced, 1-inch margins
- Abstract
- 300–500 words
- Anonymisation
- Remove all identifying information from the manuscript
- Cover Page
- Title, author(s), affiliation(s), and contact details — submitted separately

What to Expect
- Simultaneous Submissions
- Accepted. Notify us immediately upon acceptance elsewhere.
- Initial Response
- 4–6 weeks. Peer review may take a further 4–8 weeks.
- Review Process
- Double-blind peer review.
- Open Access
- All published work is freely available under CC BY 4.0.
- Processing Charge
- A nominal APC may apply to accepted manuscripts. Waivers are available for select cases. Details communicated upon acceptance.
Process
How to Submit
Submissions are accepted through our online portal. Create a free account to upload your manuscript, track its progress through peer review, and correspond with the editorial team.
